Moi Doughssier didn’t start with a business plan. It started with two small daughters, a quiet kitchen, and a craving — not just for desserts, but for meaning.

After 14 years as a full-time mum, I wasn’t sure where I fit into the world anymore. But every time I baked — folding batter, dusting flour, pouring love into a cake — I felt a little more like myself. That kitchen became my place of rediscovery. It brought me back to who I was.

So I went back to school. With butterflies in my belly and a whisk in my hand, I trained to become a pastry chef. I learnt the science. I fell in love with the art. And most importantly, I dreamt up a space where I could share it with others.

The Birth of Moi Doughssier

I didn’t want to build a bakery. I wanted to build a feeling — of home, warmth, joy, and indulgence. A space where you could walk in and feel seen. Where bread wasn’t just food — it was care, patience, and old-world charm baked into every slice.

So, with trembling hands and a full heart, we opened the doors to Moi Doughssier in Vashi.

Our sourdoughs were naturally fermented, our Bomboloni filled by hand, and our coffee brewed slowly — just like everything else we did.

The response? Overwhelming. We now serve over 1,500 customers a month, many of whom have become friends, cheerleaders, and extended family. They come for the bakes, yes — but they stay for the feeling.
